How did you get to WVPY? By car. I moved to Corvallis from Olympia about 8 months ago to continue education at OSU. I practiced yoga in Olympia and wanted to continue my practice, so I found WVPY online which led me to checking out the studio and I immediately loved the atmosphere and community! Getting a membership was a no-brainer for me.
What makes you laugh the most? My 4 nieces and nephews, I love getting to visit them, they always crack me up so much with their silliness and hilarious behavior.
What is your guilty pleasure? When oranges are in season I'll get some nice juicy ones, cut it open into 4 wedges and devour them over the sink like I'm some kind of wild beast feasting on a carcass. Also... good quality fudge.
What are 3 things you’d take on a deserted island? 1) Helicopter 2) Helicopter Pilot 3) Something to read on the flight home.
When you’re not on your mat where can we find you? Exciting me: Hiking on some local trails, skiing, playing some games with friends. Lazy me: Laying on the couch with a heated blanket with my kitties binge watching the office.
What is your greatest life lesson/learning so far? Being kind to people, everyone is fighting a battle. Also, being honest with myself... the worst person I can lie to is myself.
Why Baptiste Yoga? I'll be honest, I didn't directly seek out Baptiste before I came to this studio. I'm so grateful that I've had the opportunity to learn this type of yoga practice from such wonderful and encouraging teachers. The practice has had a profound impact on my physical and mental well-being and I'm so appreciative of the community and quality instruction that is provided in this studio.
