Exercise has always been part of Erika’s life and has been a constant yoga practitioner since 1997. Yoga became the perfect complement to her career in exercise science.
After relocating from Big Sky, Montana to Spokane, WA in 2003 she decided to share her passion for yoga with others. A graduate of Yoga Fit’s 100-hour Teacher Training Course, she found much joy and encouragement sharing her love of not only the physical movements(asana’s) with people but the holistic, mindfulness that came along with it. In 2003 she began teaching an all levels flow Yoga for the Gonzaga University community. In 2006 her path brought her here to Corvallis, Oregon and Oregon State University where she oversees the fitness programs for the OSU community and beyond.
Erika prefers energetic Vinyasa Flow style classes and loves a good arm balance or inversion challenge. She admits to still finding them both a little scary. When not on her mat, you can find her trail running in Mac forest with her fur baby Popper, hiking with her husband and exploring the world with anyone that is willing!
